In the mean time, we’re talking all things well clothed by styling up our newest hero coat – the Red Twill Swing Coat (£59.50). Perfectly designed to provide extra warmth and up the style points of your winter outfits, the swing style coat is our favourite. The coat gives a little kick of Sixties’ kitsch whilst accentuating and enhancing every shape.

Get into the blue with our latest trend edit – monochrome checks. Mixing in a hint of the print of the season,we’re taking 2013′s biggest trend for monochrome and pairing it with a flash of cobalt blue…
Our Cobalt Blue Floral Skater Dress (£35) is a show stealer. Take the spotlight with this brilliantly tailored dress, in a soft stretch jersey. It has a gorgeous single waistband seam to define the waist, whilst its’ cherry blossom print is a girlish update on the usual floral. Try adding a gold collar necklace and low block heeled shoes.
Relaxing the tartan for the depths of winter, we’re loving the Monochrome Check Curve Hem Top (£39.50). This choice is designed to fit and flatter the shape. The black and white tonal number has full length sleeves and it looks lovely teamed with a cream knit and midwash jeans.
The Blue Diamante Cape Top (£32) is our favourite of the bunch for a bright and bold injection of colour. An instant style fix for every occasion with diamante accents at the black contrast shoulders, the cape top is brilliant for skimming and flattering every shape. We like teaming ours with a straight leg trouser to complete the look for Apple shapes.
Bring prints back to your wardrobe with the Blue Floral Print Bubble Hem Top (£37). The top has a multi-tonal blue and grey floral print and is ideal for workwear or daywear alike. Try teaming it with wide leg trousers for the office, or with a high waisted jean and heeled boots during the day.

This weekend saw the grand opening of our new Leicester store, based in Highcross Shopping Centre.
To celebrate our stunning new store, we brought the Curvy Street Style photobooth in to snap photos of our gorgeous customers. We pulled festive crackers (hey, it’s a month to go, we’re allowed now!) filled with treats and lucky gift cards, and offered exclusive canvas bags and Evans cookies too.
If you haven’t already visited us at Leicester Highcross, why not read on and learn more about the store, our Store Manager Natasha, and her style tips…
Evans Fashion Fix: What are you looking forward to the most in the new Evans Leicester store?
Natasha: I am really excited to have been given the opportunity to be the manager of Evans Leicester – the layout and location of the new store is great. Situated on the ground level of the Highcross Shopping Centre, the atmosphere is always buzzing here.
I previously worked for Evans from 2006-2010, and within the short time I have been away I have seen great changes with the brand. Evans is a great brand to work for with lots of exciting opportunities. I’m looking forward to working once again with Evans and our customers.
FF: How would you describe your own style?
N: I would describe my own style as feminine and fashionable.
FF: Who is your style inspiration?
N: I take my style inspiration from High Street trends and styles and I also love looking through Instagram for style ideas.
FF: What is the most important piece of ‘Style for Your Shape’ advice you have been told?
N: I would say the most important piece of style advice I have been given would be to accentuate what I’ve got, and dress in what makes me comfortable and confident.
FF: For each of the 4 shapes – what is your best advice for each one?
FF: So tell us all a little bit more about your Leicester Highcross team…
N: Our team includes me and seven other team members, three of which have have worked for Evans before and four are all new to the brand. All of us are very excited about the opening of our new store and hope to make it a great success and fabulous place to shop.
FF: In your opinion, what is this season’s winter wardrobe must-have?
N: The biker jacket and the Chelsea boot are my must have items for winter. Both are really versatile and perfect for bringing any outfit back on trend.

When it comes to party wear and occasions, Melissa McCarthy just gets it right every time. From premieres to flashy parties, we love her style and are getting ready for the festive season with another oh-so-stylish look from the lady herself.
Inspired by this snap from the red carpet for her newest film ‘The Heat’, also starring Sandra Bullock, we adore the flashes of sparkle, coated jeans and matching heels.
Our Black Animal Print Coated Jeans (£35) are the style staple of the season: printed jeans are the ideal choice to fit and flatter every shape – especially perfect for defining the Apple shape, just like Melissa. We team ours with the Grey Metallic Animal Print Top (£35) which has subtle metallic detailing, and finish off wiith Metallic Pewter Angular Heels (£29.50). The new heel shape is so on trend for the season and is ultra comfortable too, ticking all of our style boxes.

We’re introducing a groundbreaking new collection: ‘Cut for Evans’. Cut for Evans is our young designers’ initiative, bringing fresh talent and fashion design with no size limitation to the High Street. Alice Farrow (Bournemouth University) and Rebecca Partington (Kingston University) will see their designs launched online and in-store early next year.
Judged by a panel made up of our in-house design and buying teams, Louise Court – editor of Cosmopolitan, Kat Byrne – fashion editor of Closer, and Remi Ray – blogger and founder of Plus Size Fashion Weekend, Alice’s contemporary and bold print designs wowed the panel, whilst Rebecca’s fun and unique knitwear collection is predicted to be a High Street Hit.
Evans’ Design Manager, Rebecca vann Reicher, says: ‘The industry is very rigid in how they approach body shape and we wanted to not only help change this mindset, but also show that not everything has to be showcased on a size 8 frame.’
