There is a reason why we make a list of our favourite top 100 songs. And there is a reason why the same songs keep popping up in these collective charts. They are considered classic and transcending the test of time. In this post I want to share with you a three way look with another classic: the chino trousers.
First worn by US military soldiers at the end of the 19th century, chino trousers have come a long way. Frequently used in casual looks, the chinos comfortable appearance may seem hard to picture otherwise. Playing with different accessories, layers and colours, I’ve created three looks to spice up your chinos.
For the office
Keep your work attire clean, fresh and accessorise with colour to enhance your professional look.
For shopping
When I go shopping, I’m hopping from one store to another. So I need clothes and accessories that move. Wedges are the perfect alternative to heels, as they are steadier to walk on and don’t cause a problem of I need to run to get that bargain.
For a party
If there is one situation where I think you can go all out with accessories, then it would be at a party. Evans holds a variety of colours and materials to cater to every taste. I chose to bling up my chinos! You want to be noticed at that lounge party, right? All you need now is a cosmopolitan and some great tunes.
How would you style your chinos?

Hi,
This is Anjula and Shuchi and we are fashion stylists from Material Thangs Styling Group. We are based in New York and are here to bring you some styling tips on how to recreate catwalk looks to best flatter your body shape!
Skinny bottoms have been a popular trend for many seasons now, but there was no denying the number of wide silhouettes gracing the 2011 summer runways! For a pear-shaped figure, the super wide leg is a flattering choice. Evans Blue Super Wide Leg Trouser is made of a soft jersey material that drapes over the hips in a way that will flatter your bottom. There are no pockets or other details that add bulk to this wide cut, instead Evans have added a v-shaped waist band that smoothes out and flatters the stomach area. The super wide leg creates an a-shape silhouette for your body and will make your waist look smaller if worn with the right top.
To elongate your torso, pair the wide leg trouser with more fitted tops and avoid baggier cuts that will add volume to your figure. Curvy fashionistas can tuck in their top and add a waist belt to highlight the narrowest area of the torso. This will help add curve to the upper body, while conceal any problem areas that you may have on the bottom. The wide leg trouser is a great piece to wear for hotter days, since they are loose and comfortable. Picnics, barbeques and other casual occasions can always use a comfortable wide leg trouser. For fancier occasions, use accessories and dressier tops to play up this trouser. If the evening gets breezy, add a cardigan or jacket that extends to the mid-hip for the most flattering look.
How will you be wearing your wide leg trousers this season?
‘ This evans military jacket will take you from day to night in style. I’m in meetings all day so after work I’ll be swapping my Doc Martens for heels . I’ve styled the oufit with my grey acid wash jeggings and this gorgeous vintage handbag. I love the military and vintage look, they always go well together. ’
Stuck in a style rut? Want some inspiration for summer clothes that look and feel great?
Evans buyer Tiggy Derham has been shooting some of the new collection in New York and it’s been difficult for her. . . she can’t walk down the street without being blown away by some of the gorgeous items our American sisters are wearing.
Here are some of our favourite looks:

These lovely ladies show that a simple shift dress can be so versatile. You can dress a shift dress down with gladiator sandals or vamp it up for work with some killer heels. It’s all about adding a fabulous accessory, whether that’s a gorgeous yellow handbag, cool shades or a soft scarf.

Florals are bang on trend for summer and we love how the deep v-neck draws attention to this lady’s best assets. The material of this dress is light and floaty, perfect for summer in a hot city.

If there was a fashion textbook, you could use this lady as an example of how to do layers. The high waisted skirt cinches in her waist while the pretty shrug covers up her arms and it all matches. She’s also followed the golden rule when it comes to prints: If you have a statement skirt or bottoms, then keep the top half simple to avoid scaring small children.

What gorgeous colours! However, what really makes this outfit is this lady’s clever use of accessories. The belt flatters her curves, the necklaces look fabulous and the shades are super sexy. That’s not to mention the big blue handbag. Wow!
This lady looks blooming lovely in her rose print dress. Not only is the print pretty, there are hidden surprises like the ribbon detailing round the bust that highlights her curves and the frill detail along the hem that will swirl around her knees as she struts across the floor. The white gladiator sandals are gorgeous too.

For all those cool chicks out there, this is an example of how to do bold and beautiful. The dominoes and spots remind us of Beth Ditto’s last collection for Evans and that’s making us get excited about the Gossip singer’s next range out in September. And did you spot this lady’s bright pink ear-rings? How cool are they?
We’ve been looking for fashion inspiration and there’s no better place to find it than on London’s Oxford Street. Here are some of the gorgeous outfits we spotted a selection of stylish shoppers wearing this week. Don’t these ladies look fabulous?
1.

The animal print maxi dress drives us wild. Adding a belt cinches in the waist and the jewels on the buckle provide a bit of glamour. This look will see you from day to night.
2.

What a lovely purple top! The dotty jacket is adorable too.
3.

It seems purple is popular this week. We love the stunning gladiator sandals!
4.

What a cool maxi dress, this look rocks. She’s added a touch of girly glamour with a long necklace but it’s the sunglasses that make this outfit tick all the right boxes.
5.

Denim skirts are great for running errands in and the flat gladiator sandals look comfy but cool. However, we’re most impressed by the gorgeous pink handbag. Divine!
6.

This stylish shopper’s outfit is right in so many ways. Leggings, tick. Fabulous flats, tick. Bold tunic top, tick. Statement handbag, tick. Well done, lady!
7.

You can wear this summer dress for day or night. Swap the flats for killer heels and you can go from walking the streets to dancing in the clubs with no effort at all. Love it.
8.

Florals are one of the key trends for summer but what we love about this lady’s outfit is how her shoes match her handbag. And the gladiator sandals are particularly gorgeous. We approve!

This nearly but not quite Spring part of the year is just so awkward – how do we know what to wear? From rain to shine and back again in the space of a few short hours, we don’t know whether to wear jumpers and jackets or dresses and sandals sometimes!
We hit the streets of London to find style inspiration for this difficult transitional period. What did we find? Layers, layers, and more layers. Skirts, dresses and long tops are being worn over leggings and opaque tights, and cool socks are layered over leggings and under boots. We love the double jacket look – layering up leather and denim jackets is so on-trend and looks fabulous! Lightweight jackets layered over tops and dresses are finished off perfectly with scarves and gorgeous handbags. Layering is perfect for this time of year because you can take off or add layers as the weather gets better or worse.
To get the layering look, team long-line vests with cardigans and lightweight jackets and a cool scarf will complete the look perfectly. Evans also does a great range of two in one cardigans which are the perfect way to cheat your way to an on-trend layered look. Laugh in the face of silly weather with layering!
