Golden Globes 2012: Red Carpet Style
Celebrities from film and TV took to the red carpet in beautiful dresses in LA last night for the 2012 Golden Globes. We loved so many of the gorgeous dresses on the red carpet, but we especially loved the dresses worn by some of our favourite curvy celebs who flew the flag for dressing for your shape and showcasing some beautiful plus size evening wear.
Octavia Spencer looked serene and beautiful in a lavender Tadashi Shoji gown as she won the Best Supporting Actress award. The rouched capped sleeves, rouching over the bust and waist and low v neckline showcased Octavia’s shape and the Grecian column style with slight train streamlined this delicate yet eye catching look.
The dark green Badgley Mischka dress worn by Bridesmaids star Melissa McCarthy was complemented beautifully by gold detailing and accessories. The empire line shape and soft gathers on the sleeve and waist really fit and flatter Melissa’s shape and the column shape and large quiff hair style adds height.
Glee star Amber Riley looked red hot in her strapless Badgley Mischka dress. Amber breaks several busty shape style rules with the flamenco influenced dress. The frills and strapless shape could over emphasize a larger bust, but the gathering on one side of the hip draws the eye down, taking some of the interest away from the bust. Relaxed hair and minimal jewellery really makes outfit look fresh and elegant.
