This Animal Print Maxi Dress is the perfect maxi dress to take you from Summer to Winter. With a bold, all over animal print, a very flattering cross over bust and a built in belt with a waist-defining centre seam, this dress will work with pretty sandals and winter boots.
We had some feedback from customers that the v neck was a bit low, and we’ve listened - so here’s our guide for how to to make the Evans Animal Print Maxi Dress work for you.
If the v neck is too low for you on this dress, or any other styles, try adding a cami underneath that will create a modesty panel over your bust, allowing you to decide how much cleavage to show. We love this maxi with a simple black vest underneath, and if the weather turns cooler, a chic black cardigan we work really well with this look too. The black lace trim cami would also look great under this maxi dress, and would take you from day to night.

Taking a key piece from day to night is a great way to make your wardrobe work that little bit harder and a good way of justifying that impulse buy! The Snake Print Skater Dress is a great place to start, as it will look great for S/S and still look stylish and fashionable come A/W and works on all body shapes.
To achieve that easy, relaxed day look, just dress it down with a ever-classic denim jacket, super stylish Chelsea boots and an across the body bag. Perfect for the changing weather, with this look you can add or remove layers and even add pretty sandals on sunny day.
To add some night time glam and transform the dress, we love this black suit jacket to add a sophisticated feel. Patent bow court shoes will add a feminine twist to work with the masculine tailoring of the jacket. Statement accessories will add that all important glitz!

Wearing red can be a challenge and some people shy away from wearing it, but in celebration of July’s birthstone, Ruby, we’ve put together a helpful guide to make sure you know how to incorporate red into your wardrobe.
Whether you love standout, pillar box red or prefer a more subtle berry or wine shade, anyone can find a shade of red to suit them. Bright red will suit most skintones, as long as you wear a cool, blue toned red if you’re fair and a warmer, orange toned red if you have more olive skin, darker skin can usually wear either tones.
You can start adding red to your look with just a pop of colour on your lips or nails, and build up to adding red pieces into your wardrobe. Start with red accessories or shoes and build up to statement items like tops and knitwear. Once you’re used to wearing red, you’ll them feel more comfortable and confident to wear bolder items like jeans, dresses or coats.
And don’t forget to Shop by Shape to really nail the red trend. This Praslin Red Skater Dress is perfect for Hourglass and Pear, while the Berry Quilted Jacket will look great worn open on Busty and Apple shapes, especially with the Wine Jeggings for a head-to-toe red tonal look. Not sure what shape you are? Use our Shape Calculator (top right) to input your measurements right here on the blog to find out!
If you really love red and want to make a statement, you can layer up and wear different shades of red together for a chic Autumn look that will look straight out of a magazine.

Here at Evans we think that you can change the way you dress by dressing for your shape and not your size. We asked thousands of our customers what they think about shape and what the body shapes are and you told us that the shapes are Apple, Busty, Pear and Hourglass. So we created a section at Evans.co.uk where you can find out your shape, get shape advice tailored for your shape and lots of other great features, including Bloggers For Your Shape.
We asked four bloggers, one representing each body shape, to pick an outfit from Evans and show how they would style that outfit to work for their body shape. You can shop their looks and read all their top tips for dressing for your shape and body confidence.

We’ve been looking at the bestsellers this week from Evans, and we thought we’d share what people have been buying this week, including the week’s most popular items.
One of our bestsellers, the Butterfly Maxi Dress was worn at Plus North on Saturday by Katy, our Leeds White Rose Store Manager, who wore this Summer-favourite with wedge sandals. The print at the hem makes this dress perfect for all body shapes.
A great way to update your party wear is to try on the Blue Chiffon Cape Top for size! We love the asymmetric cape detail and the cobalt blue colour. This would work well on Hourglass and Apple shapes, just team with smart jeans or a fitted skirt for a fun nighttime look.
The Black Brogueing Detail Chelsea Boot that will look great with bare legs, leggings or tights and have been the bestselling footwear of the week - and we can see why - they’re gorgeous!

On Saturday morning we got up bright and early to head up to Leeds and take part in the first ever Plus North event. Plus North is an event especially for plus size, featuring all aspects of plus size fashion. We were at the event to spread the word on Shape and to meet lots of our lovely shoppers and bloggers.
We had a great time at the event and loved talking to all the fantastic customers from the area (and the many who had traveled to be at the event!) and some of our favourite bloggers. We also loved seeing what everyone was wearing! We spotted lots of people at the event wearing Evans, including one of last week’s bestseller, the Swan Print Skater Dress and Lolly who had added vintage, white accessories to her Clements Ribeiro for Evans dress.
We also had some fantastic Shape Advisors on the day from the Evans Leeds White Rose store, including the Store Manager Katy and Shape Advisor Jaynie, who measured people for shape (so we could find out if they were Apple, Busty, Pear or Hourglass). Once they found out what shape they were we had some key Summer outfits for each shape, so everyone could get a good idea what would really work for their shape.
Were you at Plus North on Saturday? Let us know if you’re in one of our photos!
We’ve been looking at the bestsellers this week from Evans.co.uk, and we thought we’d share what people have been buying this week and the week’s most popular items.
Unsurprisingly our Spot Printed Rain Mac was in the top best sellers this week. As the ever changing weather in the UK has left us all in need of a light-weight rain mac that’s stylish and practical, we need a rain mac to see us through the great British Summer!
The tribal trend is still very popular, with the Black Native Border Print Top and the Animal Babydoll Top both making the bestseller list. Mixing tribal prints and animal prints into your Summer wardrobe is a sure way to bring your Summer style up to date.
Print is still a key trend for Summer, and from polka dots, to florals to swan print you’ve been making them your top buys for the week. The COLLECTION Floral Prom Dress is still proving a favourite, perfect for a special occasion. The Swan Print Skater Dress works for the day, office or even a night out, making it a great all-rounder. The Black Spot Button Through Top is also very versatile and can be dresses up or down, we love it with jeans or with smart black trousers.
