Evans Store Style Spotlight: Bluewater and Lakeside

We know you love the great style advisors we have in Evans stores, so we’ve decided to showcase their great style and shape secrets. The Evans store advisors are always on hand to offer style advice, free fitting services and shape advice, so to make sure all our customers benefit from their fantastic knowledge and advice we decided to start ‘Evans Store Style Spotlight’.

Focusing on a member of staff from an Evans store we’ll find out all about them, their style staples and the Evans store they work in. For our first instalment of ‘Evans Store Style Spotlight’ we’ve travelled to Kent and Essex to chat to Lynn Sells from the Evans Bluewater store and Tracey Pyman from the Evans Lakeside store.

How would you describe your style?
Eclectic – I like to take key pieces of fashion and adapt them to suit my mood. I also love to accessorize everything I wear with jewellery that I make.

Where do you find style inspiration?
I like quirky styles and take inspiration from everywhere I go.

If you could give one piece of style advice to women, what would it be?
Underwear is key! If you have the right underwear then any woman of any size can look fabulous!

What is your favourite fashion piece?
Evans Wide Leg Jeans

What is your must-have item from Evans this season?
High Waisted Brief  -  great under everything from the new Picasso trouser for Xmas day to the slinky lace dress for NYE

What do you like about working at Evans?
Bluewater is like an extension of my family not just the fantastic staff but the loyal customer base we have there too. There is nothing better than knowing you’ve helped that person feel good about themselves, kitted them out from head to toe and leave with that big bag of happiness!

Would you say you are a confident dresser?
I feel a lot more confident since joining Evans, trying new styles when they come into store has really helped me find my own style.

What body shape are you and how do you dress for your shape?
I’m an apple. I finds longer tunics that finish around my hips are much more flattering. I steer clear of anything that draws attention to my tummy, so waist belts are a big no no  for me.

Who are your style icons? Why?
I think Adele is a great example of showing size doesn’t affect how good you can look. I love that she has a classic stye, she has taken a era and made it all her own.

Are you more of a trip to the high street or shop online at home girl?
Always love a good spree on the highstreet. For me nothing beats that feeling of trying something on, feeling great in it and taking it home there and then.

Do you follow any magazines or blogs?
I do like a good read especially ‘Beautiful’ a great fashion magazine for real women. Obviously my favourite blog is Evans Fashion Fix, always great for fashion tips.

What is your must-have item from Evans this season?
The great new shapewear we have had in. I tell all my customers that any good outfit starts with great underwear.

What do you like about working at Evans?
I love the family atmosphere, when I started everyone was so friendly and helpful. I also love the customer interaction, it feels great when I’ve spent time helping someone find a outfit and they tell you how great you’ve made them feel and leave feeling happy and confident.
