Working out what to wear for the summer can be tricky as dull winter and damp spring days require a totally different wardrobe to what you need for bright summer days.
This season we have a gorgeous selection of tunics, maxi dresses, tops and trousers, gladiator sandals and swimwear so you can get up to date for the new season ahead. To give you an idea of some of the fresh, vibrant and fun summer clothing available, here are three of our favourite looks, to make you look and feel fantastic.
(1) Summer boho chic
Boho is a big trend for summer with pretty prints, fringe detailing and plaits giving clothing a cool, up to date edge. Evans black multi print top will catapult you straight into the heart of the boho trend but we recommend wearing it with plain indigo denim shorts to avoid clashing prints. Have fun with your accessories by choosing evans stunning suedette fringe bag, the brown colour goes with everything. Black fringed sandals will see you from day to night and for the finishing touch add a silver look plaited hair band.
(2) Beautiful Beachwear
If you’re going on holiday this year then you may need some inspiration about what to wear on the beach so you look laid back and stylish as opposed to hot and bothered. The key to choosing suitable beach outfits is to keep it simple, evans purple floral babydoll top is so easy to wear as it goes with everything. There are also some gorgeous bright items available at evans to get you in a positive mood for your break like the jade halterneck tankini and brief set, which looks lovely with a turquoise tie up bracelet. Finish with black square sunglasses to protect your eyes in style and silver jewelled t-bar sandals to feel comfortable while looking lovely.
3) Summer parties
Summer is full of social occasions so consider choosing an outfit you can wear many times with different accessories to refresh the look. Florals never go out of fashion and evans rose print short cotton dress is one of the prettiest floral dresses available in evans stores and online. Wear with a scarf or a black flower detail shrug to complete the petal theme. For fashionable party feet, evans black bow heel sandals will last you all summer long andf you can wear them with anything. Gold, silver and red accessories would all look lovely with this outfit but try the citrus trend and treat yourself to a lime marbled bead set.

Evans is excited to introduce a new plus-size model Heather Hazzan, who joined us on our swimwear shoot in Barbados. If you’re interested to learn more about where she comes from then evans is pleased to announce we have an exclusive video interview.
It was filmed after she’d spent hours on the beach and in the sea, smiling and pouting her way through lots of poses in some gorgeous plus-size swimwear. We bet she’s glad she made the decision to become a plus-size model!
In the video, Heather reveals how she used to be a mainstream model, battling to be a size 2, but she abandoned modelling because she couldn’t keep up that weight.
Recently she entered a magazine search to find curvy models and the rest is history. . . She’s now signed to the prestigious Ford model agency and flies around the world working for fabulous fashion brands like evans.
What an inspiration to curvy girls everywhere! Do you agree?
Hey ladies, it’s LaCara from ‘Oh La La Curves’, and I’m back to share another behind-the-scenes day with you!
I recently went to the Evans S/S 2011 catalogue photo shoot, that featured the fabulous curvy models, Laura Wells & Robyn Lawley! The shoot, took place at the stylish Iris Studios, which is discreetly hidden in Earls Court. When I arrived, I was greeted by the lovely Evans team, who introduced to me to everyone.
Laura and Robyn were so friendly, and made me feel welcomed immediately. Seeing them work together was amazing! They have great chemistry, and know how to work together to produce beautiful shots. In between, being photographed, I spoke to both of them about, their recent achievements. Laura had a gorgeous editorial spread in Plus Model Magazine, and Robyn was featured on the cover of French Elle, so there was plenty to talk about!
When I wasn’t chatting to Laura and Robyn, I was looking through at the Evans S/S 2011 line. There were a lot of pieces that I liked from the S/S 2011 line, such as their Colour Block Shift Top , Ivory Floral Satin Kimono Top, and their Blue and White Printed Jersey Maxi Dress, which are all on trend this season. I also loved the accessories and the shoes, at the shoot.
The whole team were lovely, everyone was laughing and having a good time! Hair was done by Ben Cooke, who is the master mind behind Victoria Beckham’s famous bob! Make-up was done by the lovely Jaimee Thomas, who did an amazing job on enhancing Laura & Robyn’s natural beauty. And Jason Hertherington was the photographer of the day, who has worked with numerous celebrities and fashion designers.
The highlight of the day, was being photographed with Laura & Robyn, by Jason! I felt like a plus-size model, for a moment in time, and the pictures came out beautiful! Overall, it was another amazing experience with Evans, and I hope to do it again some time!
Thank you, Evans for a lovely day!
