But what do you do if you have a fabulous invitation and don’t want to splash out on an entirely new look? One easy way to update an outfit is by adding new accessories. With the right jewellery, shoes and scarves, you can freshen up any item in your wardrobe to get it ready for a royal wedding party or a wedding of someone you know later this year.

The most dramatic way to lift your look is with a new jacket or shoes. A jacket is the first thing people see when you enter a room and it should complement your outfit rather than detracting attention from it.
