Shoes, Glorious Shoes!

Hi guys!

Let me introduce myself, my name is Naomi and I write the blog Diamonds ‘n’ Pearls. I am a big girl, with a big love for all things fashion related and through my blog I love to talk about my experiences of the fashion industry as a plus size woman. I wholeheartedly believe that everybody deserves to look and feel good irrelevant of shape or size. I love looking at what is going on in the plus size fashion industry at the moment and I also enjoy putting outfits together that make me feel good which will hopefully inspire other plus size women to enjoy fashion as much as I do, without limitations or boundaries and massive emphasis on imagination and confidence.

Recently I attended the plus-size-tall model final in London, sponsored by Evans, and had an amazing day supporting all the beautiful women who were flying the flag for all us curvy girlies. Watching them strut their stuff was fantastic; the girls walked the catwalk amazingly after a fabulous workshop on walking in heels by Chyna Whyne.

I am a massive fan of fabulous shoes and could totally relate to Chyna and her ethos on how walking in heels can really make you feel super confident. Last year I bought a stunning pair of heeled sandals from Evans, they went with absolutely everything and I plan on sporting them again this season, but in the mean time there’s no harm eye-balling a few new pairs, is there girls?! So here are my favourite pairs on sale at the moment . . .

I love these strappy buckle platforms, especially the colour. I would team them up with the stripe detail boyfit jean, the short sleeve stone pocket top, a lovely little clutch like the sodamix studded party bag and a great bit of statement jewellery like this gold engraved cuff, I could wear this for an evening catching up with the girls sipping cocktails and gossiping the night away. Super girly chic !

I love the hard edge of these peeptoe ankle boots and would put them with a really funky rock chick type outfit. I really love the Punkyfish skull vest, teamed up with a great jacket like the PU biker jacket, the biker is going to stick around for a while yet girls so get one! A great outfit for a Friday night spent in the pub !

And last but not least for any fashionista the shoe that is going to be hot this coming season is the clog! I was a little dubious about them at first but after seeing these styles bought out by Evans recently I thought about putting them with a gorgeous floaty chiffon tunic , black leggings, this tiger eye ring and wrapped hoop earrings for a hot Valentines Day date maybe ?

Now I just need to own them all!
