One of the best showbiz events on in London this week was a gig by pop Princess Pixie Lott in London’s celebrity hangout, Movida.
We went there for a dance as Pixie performed her hits Mama Do and Cry Me Out, as well as a surprisingly rocky cover of the The Killers’ When You Were Young.
It was the perfect night for style-watching as most people had dressed to impress for the night in the swanky central London nightclub.
Hats off to Frankie from The Saturdays, looking stylish in a straw cowboy hat.
No matter what size or shape you are, everyone looks good in a hat and Evans has a similar trilby in our holiday shop.
Frankie’s got special reason to celebrate right now as she exclusively confessed to us that things are back on with Dougie Poynter from McFly.
The pair split last month after two years together, blaming work pressures, but now Frankie has a smile on her face as she revealed: ‘I missed him too much. We’re back together and living in our old house in North London.’
You heard it here first!
We can also reveal that you’ll be seeing a lot more of X Factor 2009 runner-up Laura White, who looked absolutely stunning in a blue party dress and heels.
Laura told us, ‘I’ve got some good managers, who are negotiating deals for me.’ She’s certainly dressing for success already. Bright colours are on-trend for spring.
We’re also dotty about her fellow X Factor contestant friend Stacey Soloman’s black and white dress, which is good given that Evans has a big range of spots and stripes.
Party host Pixie went for a take on the global safari look in an animal print dress. Wild!
It’s so easy to be dazzled by what celebrities are wearing at showbiz events, but at Evans we want to celebrate real womens style choices.
This week’s pick of the party outfits goes to Yasmin King, who showed how you can update a black dress with chunky accessories. We like it because it reminds us of J Los outfit to the Back-Up Plan premiere.
Her friend’s tiered grey dress and cardigan is also perfect for Spring. Cardigans at Evans come in such a variety of fabrics and styles, they will take you from day to night in effortless elegance.
Well done ladies!
London’s Leicester Square was buzzing this week as a true A-list style icon flew in for the premiere of her latest film, The Back Up Plan.
Jennifer Lopez (or should that be Jennifer Anthony?) gave her British fans (and us) a treat with two days of interviews and promotional activity in the capital.
Accompanied by her husband Marc Anthony, la Lopez got her beauty sleep in style in the five star Claridges Hotel and it clearly worked as she looked stunning on the red carpet.
To the envy of thousands of people who had gathered outside the Vue cinema since 10am to catch a glimpse of their heroine, we had tickets to the slushy rom-com about the dilemmas of IVF when you’re single.
Jenny, who is mother to one-year-old twins Max and Emme, gave a humorous take on what it’s like to be pregnant, but the most exciting part of the premiere was seeing what the diva was wearing.
Even if the movie doesn’t deserve five stars, we give Jennifer top marks in the style stakes for her on-trend one-shoulder black dress which is simple yet stylish.
And check out the statement jewellery!
Evans has a great range of chunky necklaces right now, so you can indulge your inner diva just like JLo.
Fridays are about to become a lot more fun as Evans is proud to announce we have a new guest blogger to bring you the latest showbiz gossip and style secrets every single week.
Zoe Griffin is Party Princess who attends at least one celebrity party a night.
From glamorous film premieres to grungy gigs, Zoe has invites to the events we all wish we were at.
Sadly she tells us there is no room in her clutch bag for us to hide inside, but she’ll be taking photos, videos and her Dictaphone to give us the crème de la crème of the party action.
We look forward to hearing where the celebs went, what they spoke about and who looked hot and not.
Bring on the Friday Fix!
With only 3 days to go til payday and the upcoming bank holiday weekend, we simply can’t wait ! The main question is, what are you going to wear?! Here are 3 key looks for the season that will see you through the weekend and the rest of the summer!
We have been out and about with a spring in our step snapping some great styles on the streets of London.
We are loving the motif tees, animal prints, cute dresses, gorgeous sandals and great accessories (especially the trilby hat). Here are a few of the fabulous dressers we snapped. Don’t forget to cast your vote for your favourite!
Look what’s just landed on our desks this morning, these gorgeous satchel bags in black and tan, they’ll be in-store mid July:
We can’t wait to get them in. Hope you love them as much as we do !
Naughty Grazia has stolen our thunder! We wanted to be the first to announce the news that will shake up Autumn fashion: Beth Ditto is designing another range for Evans.
We should have guessed that nothing so fabulous can stay secret for long.
Beth’s second collection for us, which will hit stores in September, takes glamour to a whole new level with everything from 80s punk to 40s vintage with a noughties modern edge.
She’s been inspired by traveling around the world with her band the Gossip, so the clothes are contemporary and cool as well as flattering.
Grazia said they ‘can’t wait’ until the latest collection comes in and even gave us a ‘whoop’. We’re excited too, bring on September!
One of the biggest trends this Spring / Summer is layering. With the sun starting to shine through the clouds, it’s time to embrace brighter colours and lighter fabrics.
That’s why we love this waterfall ladder cardigan for a top layer that is floaty and feminine. Best of all, it can be worn for work or play.
Look 1: Weekend Casual
Perfect for running errands in, these black turn up culottes are lightweight and cool for those days when you don’t get a chance to sit down. Treat your feet to fabulous flats like these black gladiator sandals, which compliment our metal cuff bangle. Add a touch of colour with a multi-colour Aztec print scarf.
Look 2: Office Chic
Lace body suits are flattering for any shape. The ruche detail on these grey trousers mean you can tuck them into our black leather studded peep toes for the ultimate in power dressing, to effortlessly take you from the office to post-work cocktails. Match the details on your footwear to a studded wooden bangle and sweeten the look with a heart and bow ditsy necklace.
Look 3: Party Glamour
Tribal print is where it’s at this season, and this tribal print maxi dress is perfect for summer weddings and weekend barbecues. Feel like a Princess with a selection of bangles and finish with flat black snake gladiator sandals to party all night long!
Having a press day is a bit like having a party, sometimes we worry that nobody will show up and then we worry people won’t enjoy themselves while they are there. Fortunately, the press seem to be loving our new Autumn / Winter 2010 collection!
All day, people have been telling us what they think through Twitter (ust search for the hash tag #evansPR), And this is what some of the visitors to the show wrote in our guest book after seeing the latest Evans looks in real-life:
Aine Hawes, She magazine: ‘Beautiful collection! Love the sparkles and the military looks.’
Dianne Dennis, Fat Girls Like Nice Clothes Too (FGLNCT): ‘Another great collection. Love the colours and fur coats. Love!’
Sarah Tankel, GMTV: ‘Fab collection. Love the faux fur military pieces.’
Alex Heath, She magazine: ‘Love the harem pants.’
Hope and Karen, Glamour magazine, and Amanda and Ellie, Prima magazine: ‘Loved the collection!.’
If all this has inspired you and you hate waiting for the newest items to hit the stores, then there are some military coats in the current collection.
Check out this season’s on-trend harem pants.
And make sure you browse our sparkly summer tops.
We are all so excited here at Evans at the launch of our a/w 2010 Press Event today.
We have live twitter feeds for you to read throughout the day, and here are some photos so you can be the first to see our gorgeous new product that will be heading your way this autumn. Enjoy, and feel free to comment via twitter and the hash tag #evansPR !
